The Academy Awards

I guess I must really be in a new demographic. This is probably the first year in my life that I have no idea of the nominated movies and don't care.

I think there are a lot of us. (Maybe last year was too full of Stuff?) I do know I haven't been to a movie since I took a bunch of kids in August.

I actually saw way more movies since moving to Austin than I think I've seen in the past six years put together (including rental, which I rarely do anyway). Saw Wallace & Gromit, Good Night & Good Luck, Narnia, Brokeback, Corpse Bride (boring), and Serenity. Maybe one other, hrm. Corpse Bride was the only one not worth the money, Narnia a close second, and the only reason I was willing to see so many was because the local theaters around here serve dinner & drinks while you watch. So, if the movie sucks, you just order more wine, and it gets better!

That's how I managed to keep from walking out during Narnia, at least. ;D

LOL Dinner and a drink, LOL. With that kind of inducement I guess I'd go more often. $10.00 a pop here now.
