Happy Holidays everyone.  On my way to Las  Vegas with my sister for a few days.  This has not been a particularly good period for me.  I'm going through quite a few changes and have a number of decisions to make, for that reason I've not been writing or particularly active on the boards.  I miss everyone and look forward to starting the new year

I'd say you've been a public defender long enough that your reputation would likely proceed you and put you in great demand. I also have no doubt you'd make a great success of it, plus you'd be awesome to have as a mentor for the law clerks doing their third year as interns. (Do they do that in Cali?)

I think you'd be great in a private office. You obviously have the passion and the know-how. And I agree with Sol, you'd be a good mentor as well.

I'll keep you in my prayers, and here's hoping to a good 2006 for you. And I look forward to reading more Soul Seeder and more Lana. :)

I agree with what others have said as well - it sounds as if you are ready for a change, and I have every confidence in you to be as successful in private practice as you are as a public defender.
