It differs from plague to plague. The one I've been assigned to isn't like a poison. There's no way to take it out of the body--it's nothing we've dealth with before. I'm trying, but...there's great risk. I don't want to meddle with things I don't know of, and I don't want to hurt them more than they hurt already.
This is some kind of attack. The whole city would have to be stupid to not realize it by now.
I'd tell you to use some of my bunshin as test subjects, but I don't know if that's even a workable option. Can't stick a syringe in something that disappears if you poke it.
I haven't thought missions were for fun since Haku.
Fine, fine. I'll wear the mask over mine. ...It'll match the flea collar.
Prevention, like you said, is the best medicine. Aside from warning citizens, we could find ways of killing the fleas (flea collars? flea dips for pets?) or by administering an immunization vaccine.
As far as those who are already showing symptoms, apparently the disease destroys the insides first and the lungs. This would take deep tissue mending, I would think. But that sort of intervention might only work on a ninja. Perhaps antibiotics would help?
I wish I could help you, Sakura. So I'll do the next best thing and just not get sick myself. It isn't much but at you'll have one less to worry about.
And about Minato's illness. There was a toxin on the doorknob of our apartment that seems to be effecting his muscles. Maybe it'll work its way out of his system?

And there've got to be other medics on this besides you and me.

It sounds more like a poison than anything. You should be able to treat those, right? Poisons? They're the old lady's specialty!
I'm fine. Don't worry about me.

Missions like these aren't fun at all, are they?

Make sure Yondaime-san is in the hospital, I'll try to tend to him as well.

Yeah, I brought him to the hospital as soon as it happened. He seems alright otherwise.
