BRILLIANT! I read it while listening to the Buffy musical soundtrack and sang along with the new lyrics! SO much fun! And absolutely hilarious! :-)

It is fun, isn't it? I sang along with them myself as I was writing to be sure the meter scanned!

So glad you enjoyed!

Yes! YES! As they say on the intarwebz, this fic is made of WIN. It is sheer brilliance. The characterization and the meter and the content and the jokes and everything -- Chase's breathless verse in the DDX song -- the mustard/patient number -- Cuddy hoping Wilson got to do Tara's song an octave lower -- Wilson and House doing the marriage song-and-sort-of-dance -- of course it had to be House doing Spike's solo -- of course it had to be Wilson doing Giles' montage -- the fellows' pathetic two-line lament -- Wilson with his version of Spike's comforting lines, "honest and strong: I mean them," and the kiss(es)! -- just, YES. *mems* *recs* *prepares to have BtVS songs stuck in head all day*

*Glows from the praise*

Thank you so much! I was trying to capture the sentiment and mood of each piece and maintain it in translation, so it's good to know I succeeded! And thank you again for the rec (which was absolutely amazing).

And just by the way, I've read and adore your sestinas.

Oh! Thank you. English geeks unite, huh? And you're welcome for the rec. I didn't know if you'd be cross-posting this to any of the bigger communities, and I thought it deserved many, many more readers. My favorite song in here is still "I'll Never Tell," though my favorite lines keep changing.

It's nine AM and my day is MADE. I'd totally sell my soul to see this done on the show... =P
Awesome job!

No need to sell your soul, but I'm thrilled to have made your day!

(And yes, if I can say it without sounding egotistical, I'd love to see it on the show too. Pity House is extemely unlikely to do a musical.)

Glad you enjoyed!

Thanks...I just knew when I saw the prompt that--despite never having written to a prompt before--I had to do it, and judging by the response, the effort paid off.

So glad you enjoyed it!
