I recently found myself in possession of a 10gal tank and a plethora of java ferns. After the tank was all sorted, I wandered over to the LFS to pick up a trio of females (they only had the three). I was going to call it done at that, but upon stopping by a Petco to grab more plants I found another trio of girls sitting in rather nasty looking cups ( Read more... )

I had five at once in a ten gallon and it was fine. We really stayed on top of water changes though because it is a pretty high number. I hope they all settle in well for you!

Six is too much for each gal to have her proper territory, but they'll live.
