Short and random

Well I'm updating via iJournal, which is one of several downloadable applications that would let me update my journals without logging into the website. I'm trying it out as a method for simplifying the two-journal lifestyle I've just decided I ought to live. Basically I'm staying logged in with this journal so that I can see friend-locked ( Read more... )

That would be the manuscript produced during National Novel Writing Month - NaNoWriMo for short, NaNo for shorter - and I always wonder whether I should say "NaNo novel", because NaNo is technically an event and the novel is its result, or just "NaNovel" for the same reason that you say ATM rather than ATM machine. At any rate, it's the 50,000 words I wrote last month, plus a few extra thousand added after the fact to finish out the plot and go back and add in a few scenes I skipped in the blitzkrieg writing of November.

I found a self-publisher online who offers to print one free copy of your manuscript in "real book" form, and I figure that's pretty cool so I went ahead and got one. It's so far from being something that I'd even think about submitting to an agent that I laugh whenever someone suggests it, but it's got potential for a little while down the line.

I'd use NaNo novel, because that's what it is. :) I've never heard NaNo participants refer to a NaNovel, but then again, maybe I just don't know enough. :)

He he. I'm INTJ too. Though, depending on the day, I'll get INFJ.

*nods* Once I think I actually got enfj, which just about blew me off my chair at the time. Of course, I've learned how to pretend I'm an extrovert when the occasion warrants - there are probably a hundred people who would swear up one wall and down the other that I can't be an introvert, but they also never see me after the social gathering when I find a quiet corner, plug into my iPod, and spend 4 hours reading to level out the insanity before I crack.
