Macs are good. I want a new one. Mine is 8 years old and still *mostly* plods along, but I would like a shiny white one:D

I've never owned a computer this shiny. I've never had a new computer of my own (this one's joint, but it's still mine!) - I'm usually last in the computer-chain in my family.

That first paragraph took about four reads to make any sense of at all.

And don't you worry, I was a Windows person since 3.1 till about a year ago, & I can proudly say that Mac OS takes very little getting used to.

I thought you were a Mac person? You (or your family) have had them before, at least...

As for the first paragraph - I'm well aware that it probably only makes sense easily to me. But I like it anyway :P

Nah, we were always Windows people. We did have one of the old iMacs a few years back, but since we never got it onto the internet we didn't really use it much.
