I'm a little confused by Johnny's makeup. Are they intending for it to look like he has loads of bronze eyeshadow on? I feel like makeup artists working for Tim Burton could pull off "gothic" without making it look so obvious. Especially in the street scenes; I feel like the forehead bronzer was a little overkill. Maybe it's meant to be stagey, y/n?

Jonny Depp looks like a crossover between Edward Scissorhands (especially in the first photo) and that character played by Jim Carrey in a Series of Unfortunate Events.
