ADD Brain at 3:30AM

Jun 18, 2012 04:10

The insomnia rarely visits these days, but tonight I'm wide awake at 3:30AM. Months of enforcing a sleep schedule that would satisfy even the most strict of Catholic nuns has convinced my body that 3:30AM is for dreaming and snoring, so I haven't seen this dark of night in quite some time ( Read more... )

Awesome post.

I love doing stuff late at night. I've always been a night owl and will never, ever be well-adjusted to "normal-people" hours. Ever. And yet, I've already been to bed once tonight (it's 5:02 now and I've been up since 4:30) and I'm to wake up at 6:45.

Loved reading about what your brain is thinking RIGHT NOW, including all the hops and skips.

That said... while it delights me that your processional will be a Trek theme... the VOYAGER theme? THE VOYAGER THEME? Kiddo, why not Deep Space 9?? ;)

Rest assured Voyager was the compromise. Kayla prefers TNG, I prefer DS9 but we agree that Kate Mulgrew and Jeri Ryan have incredible UST. (though I haven't thought about THAT term in years.)

Oh, and she loves Worf, hates Bashir, finds Kira hot but grating. At least she loves both Daxes!

Ahhhh fandom. Are you still in fandom (of any sort)?

ahahaha, okay, good compromise! And yes, J/7 UST was amazing.

... you're marrying a woman who loves Worf and hates Bashir? Where did I go wrong?! ;) But the Dax love makes it okay. (Although I never did like Ezri. At all.)

I wouldn't say I'm active in any fandoms at the moment, no. My last active ship was probably Otalia (Guiding Light's Olivia/Natalia) or (much less active), All My Children's Minx fandom (Marissa/Bianca) -- though I still much prefer BAM (Bianca and Maggie).

This is not to say I don't still occasionally write fanfic-esque stuff. I wrote something a few months ago (? maybe longer...) based on the movie Imagine Me and You. But I'm not really active anymore.

Strangely, I've started re-watching chunks of Xena...

ANYHOW. What about you?

Thank you for being my daughters friend over all these years. I think it made her voyage much easier. Love, Moogie

I like your ADD brain, it's like what I think living in NYC would be like: something interesting going on 24/7, but also crowded and sometimes overwhelming ( ... )

Out of all of this, the thing that latched onto my brain is the bit about anti-depressants and pregnancy. I took anti-depressants during both pregnancies and my babies are fine - intelligent, energetic, loving trouble makers. I experience a specific level of crazy when pregnant. I'd hate to think what i might have been like without them (I've been on them for .... um, seven years? Withdrawl and pregnant? Heck no.)
