I just updated Other People's Keys for the first time in months. I attacked the pile of key letters today with renewed vigor and from now until the 12th, there will be a new post every single day. I can say this with confidence because I have already written the posts and they're automatically scheduled ( Read more... )

Oh Beth,
Do you realize how incrediably lucky and blessed you are? I say that knowing you do, to a degree.

I was recently thinking. Thinking about every wrong turn, twist and tangle my life has taken in the last, oh, I don't know, 10 years. But every dark moment has actually been leading me to this moment, one of the most beautiful of moments I have been privilaged to experience.

Bottom line. Everything happens for a reason. Every person we met or cross paths with was supposed to be there.

P.S.: Your Kayla is so friggin adorable! When you share about you two it makes my soul smile. It'll never get old, keep sharing.

i would love to send you more keys, miss lady ma'am. i will go peek at the site, i don't know if my victorian flavour flav' giant wall-hangy key from the secretwitter concert weekend warranted add-age to that project. this post was so beautiful/keyful, i want to share my keyhole ink story with you >> c'est la

in any case. that is a striking/oh so striking picture of both of your tatts. and i have a similar lovestory, i suppose. i met two future-beaus at a world/inferno show. it was the one i least expected that i live in sin with now! the world is so so peculiar. thank god we don't always have a clue/compass for what's to come. it makes it so much more delicious when it comes to fruition, i suppose?

The letters that have been posted so far are really beautiful, each in different and unique ways. It's funny how so much meaning can be placed on objects - particularly objects that are seemingly ordinary. So, now you will forever be associated with keys (because of the permanence of the tattoo, among other reasons), and each little key strung together will be more than a chain of keys but a chain of stories. Real stories, from real people. Keys that have attached meanings from the senders... it's just... turning out to be a beautiful project so far (from what has already been posted) and I love that it's interactive. People send you keys and their stories not just for your eyes only ( ... )
