Progress Report: Tea and Blankets

I am on the home stretch with Part 3 of X Marks the Spot, although I really had hoped to be finished by now!  Progress was considerably slowed by my getting sick about ten days ago; instead of my spending lots of time writing, I spent lots of time sleeping.

I'm doing a lot better now, and last weekend was fic_rush weekend, which was lovely.  In addition to

There's Sam/MacGyver, which is the hottest damn thing ever.

There's petulant!Jack. (Actually, there's in character everyone, which isn't often seen in crackfic, which this definitely is!)

It's personal experience fic, which is always fun.

And there are random, shape-shifting Penguins who play Risk.

I mean, seriously. What's NOT to love?

There is a more irritating word in the English language than "blankie". It's "binkie". "Pacifier", dammit!

I'm so excited that part 3 is nearly done. Actually excited enough that I should probably use an exclamation point, but I caught your cold or an accurate replica thereof and I have to be at work for a stupidly meaningless deadline, AND I have no hot aliens bringing me tea.
