An extra helping of Alphabet Soup: V is for V_la

sg_fignewton's Alphabet Soup ended up a couple letters short.  One of the letters was V, and whoopsdontlooknowitsaplotbunnyauuuggghhh!

Oh! All dialogue! What fun! And dual fandom, too! Fantastic! How clever of you. I read this as Daniel and Vala all the way, since I'm not familiar with Blake's Seven. From that perspective, it works fine! Voices sound right, etc. Good job!

Vila isn't one of the speakers; he's the guy they're talking about, who managed to pick Vala's pocket while she thought he was drunk. The line ‘Other people’s property just comes naturally to me’ is a classic Vila quote.

I personally heard Daniel, Sam and Cameron as the people talking to Vala, but there's wiggle room there. Teal'c was apparently not saying anything. I think he was smirking inside.

Got it! I read it as only two speakers, Daniel and Vala, but as you say there's wiggle room there. Still, it was fun! And now it all makes perfect sense!

Oh, excellent! I actually thought of doing Blake's 7 as the future Earth in 2010, but I didn't have a story to go with it. But I love the idea of Vala running into someone even slipperier than her!
