I was whooping with glee inside at seeing Tom Baker again, of course, and I so wanted to write something about it! I originally thought there would be something about Gallifrey in there, but it's just as well that there wasn't, since it would have been entirely Jossed. Instead, I ran with that lovely line in the anniversary special about the effect of the sound of the TARDIS. *g*
I tried, at first, to stick to aliens and planets that actually exist in canon, but there aren't nearly enough alien races that aren't enemy nasties. It made just as much sense for there to be more that we simply haven't met yet, although of course the Doctor has!

The last line with the TARDIS keeping the tea warm for him is very sweet. Reading this felt like a warm hug. Thank you for sharing!

Wow, it's been sooo many years since the one time I saw Harold and Maude, it has to be coincidence. I wish I could claim it as a Grand Overarching Vision, but nope.
If I may ask, I'm curious as to how you came to be reading this, since it was posted quite a while ago. I love having folks wander around in the galleries, I mean archives, as it were; I'm just curious.
