Who knew that going back to Cali could be so rough?

After a full day of running around frantically at work, the likes of which I haven't seen since I started there, I finally did the mad dash to the airport to board the first of two flights back to California:  Philly to Salt Lake City.  Salt Lake City to Oakland.

maybe your flight was delayed because they were trying to figure out if you were a potential terrorist? Oh yeah and your bags are late because they are going through them with bomb sniffing equipment.

Only experience I have from travelling with a muslim is that when I left from DFW a few years ago, members of a muslim (moslem?) family were seated on the row to my left, and after some agitated chit-chat between themselves, the pretty young girl sitting next to me exchanged places with the not so pretty old grandmother.

I did know that about Utah, actually. But I was as surprised by its beauty as you when I encountered it back in March. I was just thinking today that there's no way to explain it to someone who has lived all his or her life back East; there is nothing analogous.
