I made a pleasant discovery about myself on Wednesay, that I thought I'd share with you all: I have limits, and even though I'm rarely pushed out that far, I will simply refuse to go past them should the situation arise (this is good because I had been worrying in an abstract, detached way, that this point didn't really exist). Keep in mind, that ( Read more... )

When I was in France my mom needed to buy some and forced me into the store to ask questions (her not speaking any French). She wouldn't listen no matter how much I tried to tell her I'd never learned any vocabulary for speaking about tampons.

hey you - I got your email - sorry about the utter lack of response.

My cousin is staying with me this weekend, so maybe on Sunday night? That'd be Sunday afternoon, 5ish for you.

Oh, and Spar is a convenience store that's absolutely ubiquitous here - I think there are six in the Swansea area alone.

Wow. Hadn't checked your LJ for awhile. Good to know things are OK--and Wales! God, I loved visiting Wales--esp. the north--when I lived in Glasgow!

Still ... just like me to take a look at your journal at this moment.

If you think the person you were with had an awkward moment ...!

sorry bout that. One of my flatmates doesn't speak English that well, and I've been helping her out, with sort of mixed results.

I promise posting will get back to normal soon!

I'm still waiting to hear back - I probably will be at CTY, but it might be at JHU, not BRI. And Celtic Magic or no, I can't overstay my visa :(
