What: Needy feels social again and throws a house party complete with loud music and free food and beer. We kicked alien tail, City. Don't you think that's worthy of a celebration?

Sefton had no idea what he was doing here. He had been wandering the city, trying to memorize the lay of the land as best he could, which meant exploring all the districts and areas. Of course, that also meant getting horribly lost more than once and failing to make it back to the hostel before dark.

The obvious liveliness of the place had drawn him in, while it just as easily made him think twice about getting closer. He could definitely ask for directions from one of the people there... but Sefton didn't exactly make a habit of party-crashing, which left him indecisively standing near the entrance and rapidly losing the will to try and brave the crowd.

Yeah, that wasn't going to do. Kailani found herself at the part with her disguise spell on and had noticed noticed Sefton standing there indecisive-like. Which meant she had to go over to him.

"My fellow bluehaired companion! Have you decided to join the party for the whole killin' of the weird aliens? Come on, let's go and have you socialize, yeah? Since you're new and all."

The look she gave him meant she wasn't going to take no for an answer.

The fifteen (eighteen) year old spared her a long stare, in both incredulity and surprise. "What's this party 'bout?" he asked, letting the form of greeting pass by (and also pointedly ignoring the rest of her suggestion).

"Celebratin' the victory against th'aliens, I guess. Hostess isn't really checkin' t'see if people who're comin' here were involved in that, so it's just a party." Her eyes narrow slightly at him at the ignoring and she points at the party inside. "Socializin's good for ya, now socialize before your bluish mop turns a fair shade of pink."

"What's my hair gotta do with anything?" Sefton asked defensively, still ignoring the actual point of her message. Socializing was anything but good for him in his mind, and he had one very big reason why not.

[jelkeshanfish]

"It's gotta do with the fact I'm about t'change it colors to get you inside and actually get some allies in the city, yeah." And for emphasis, she pokes his should. "Y'see, the more people you're friendly with here, the less likely you will be messed with on the streets, young blue one. And no, just all of th'boss doesn't count as a lot of people, yeah."

Sefton jerked back a step at the poke in the shoulder, giving her a growing sour look. "Don't think changing my hair's any kinda encouragement," he grumbled.

"It's more of a threat if y'don't go in." Kailani ignores the look and crosses her arms, looking at the party going on inside.

"Why?" Sefton asked, hiding his honest confusion in an annoyed tone.

[jelkeshanfish]

"Look, s'no good tryin' t'hide yourself here. Better t'do it voluntarily than to just end up gettin' it at awkward times. Y'know, when I first started livin' at the hostel, everybody thought I was drownin' 'cause I sleep in a bathtub."

Sefton's brows knitted together at that last part. Sleeping in bathtubs... couldn't be any more odd than aliens. Shaking his head, his gaze turned toward the entryway. "So if I go in there, you'll leave me alone?"

Kailani thinks for a moment before she nods, smiling slightly. "Yep, that's the plan. Go on, celebrate. It doesn't happen much in this city, yeah. I'll leave you alone."
