Y'know, something's been bugging me. When I got here a while ago, I was... older. Taller 'n all that, definitely more 'n I should've been. Then 'bout a year ago [ to the day, as a matter of fact ] I turned back to normal. Dunno why.

[NOT HERE: Earlier, a package would have been delivered to the shelter, addressed to Lowell. Inside would have been a whimsically-wrapped gift that, when unwrapped, would prove to be a sports jersey with a soccer ball on the front and LOWELL 64 on the back. It is yellow with blue accents.]

[ Doctor, that is incredibly sweet of you. While not his school's color or his old number, it still brings back memories. They're tinged with regret like all the rest, yet some of the happier ones he could think of. Definitely something he'll be keeping close by (even if he's not sure who could have sent it, because who here actually knows his birthday?). ]

Fun fact about the number 64. It's the atomic number for Gadolinium, an element that exhibits ferromagnetic properties at temperatures under two-ninty-three-point-four degrees Kelvin. Or twenty Centigrade. Or sixty-eight Fahrenheit. In other words, it's a magnet.
