[Frowning a little down at the comm.]

We got switched on my birthday.

[polarisation]

[ Blink! ]

... We did?

[swatwithdragons]

Yeah. Eighth of April, nineteen seventy-four.

[polarisation]

[ Sefton gives him a blank stare. ] I was... born in twenty-twenty-seven...?

[ Yeah he has no idea how old '74 is supposed to make Lance now, because he's most certainly not in his near-seventies. ]

[He gets a brow-furrowed stare in response, and then Lance shakes his head.]

Sometimes I wish time worked properly in this place. I'm twenty-five when I should be thirty-seven, and you're minus sixteen.

[polarisation]

[ Runs a hand over his face, almost tiredly. Actually, he is kind of tired. ]

Yeah, that's just... really weird. [ Beat. ] Not sure if I should say 'happy birthday', since... [ Shrug. The birthday wasn't especially happy, was it? ]

[swatwithdragons]

[Yes, well, your body wants to sleep too much, Sefton. Lance snorts.]

Yeah, well, I didn't even remember it 'til today.

[polarisation]

[ It's not his fault! :c And hey, don't you like feeling rested in return? ]

Better'n knowing when it happened, isn't it?

[ ... perhaps speaking from experience. ]

[... Maybe.]

I guess so.

[But still, he shakes his head and looks down at the comm, looking a little lost. His birthday. His anniversary, he'd remembered, but he'd completely forgotten his birthday without someone to remind him. Go figure.]

[polarisation]

[ Which is a yes. Not all bad, then! ... maybe less than bad, considering the shape Sefton's body is in. :|a ]

... Happy birthday.

[ Now he just has to figure out a present. Shouldn't be hard after he spent so long pretending to be the guy, right? ]

... Thanks.

[Quietly, without looking up. He does appreciate it, Sefton. And he's really not expecting a present.]

[polarisation]

[ That doesn't mean he's not going to get one. Also, that's a somewhat worrying response when it looks like Lance is getting 'lost in thought', so Sefton is going to... try and change the subject. ]

What'd you do, anyway?

[That pulls Lance out of his thoughts, and he looks over with a blinkblink.]

What?

[polarisation]

What'd you... do? [ Gestures at himself. ]
