Sunday at the mansion, a little after the Doctor

Amy took a good look at the location from the outside, raising an eyebrow and nodding. It was definitely a mansion, all right. She wondered if there were enough rooms that she and Rory could choose their own, or if Romana had selected one for them.

Adjusting the strap on her backpack before picking up a plastic tote, she moved to the front door and rang the bell.

Romana opened the door for her, smiling. She was rather fond of this assistant of the Doctor's, and glad she'd decided to join them. "Hello, Amy. Would you like me to carry anything for you?"

"No, I think I got it. Rory's bringing the rest in a bit, and he can carry a deal more than I."

Stepping inside, she took a good look around and smiled. "I love it. So how long have you been living here?"

"Since the beginning of October, I believe," Romana said, after a moment. "That was when Charles invited me. Before that, I was living in the hostel, next to the Doctor's room. Not that I ever really used my room there."

"And what about here? Do you stay around here more often than you did the hostel?" Moving into the front hall more fully, Amy continued looking around at everything as she spoke, soaking it all in.

"Well, I do stay in the mansion more often, yes. Though I rarely sleep, still...I've built a lab here that I often use instead," she explained. "I imagine the Doctor will be frequenting the lab as well."

"That sounds just like his cup of tea," Amy agreed, heading for the stairs. "Did you have a room picked out for us or..." She trailed off, bobbing a head at the staircase.

"You're free to choose your own room," Romana offered. "Why don't I give you a tour, and you can see which room suits you best?"
