This is Saïx, making his appearance like a good employee.

This is Saïx, standing on the beach in his black Organization coat.

He doesn't seem to be trying especially hard to enjoy himself. He's just kind of... standing there, watching the tide come in and out. This beach looks just like all the others he's seen on other worlds. It's a particularly pretty beach, yes, but still, it doesn't hold his interest.

He only has to be here long enough so that Owen will stay off his back about it later, so this is Saïx biding his time.

And Draco thought he looked out of place.

"Well, don't we look like we're having an absolute bundle of laughs," Draco announced, perhaps a bit loudly as he approached.

Somehow, Saïx is not surprised, nor does he care. Oh, wait. It's because he doesn't have a heart.

He doesn't even turn his head to acknowledge the boy's presence. He doesn't expect him to pull any kind of idiotic stunt when the rest of the company's there.

No, he most certainly isn't going to. Draco is the dear victim here, if anything.

That said, he's also not leaving Saix alone. He puts on a hurt expression, pausing beside the other man and staring over. "You wound me. Can't even offer the smallest of hellos?"

Uh-huh.

Saïx glances at him now, eyebrows raised. "Because your own greeting falls under such a category."

What does he want? Surely, he can't be so bored as to have no other option but to harass Saïx.

"Of course it does. It was a greeting. Far more than what you offered me," Draco replied, ever so smug. Surely, he is that bored. He's already spoken to everyone else he wanted to, and a few others too.

Because Saïx owes him anything. Greetings must be earned, and Draco hasn't earned anything in his eyes.

"Is there something you need?" Let's just get straight to the point, shall we?

"Just thought I'd come by and see your lovely face," he drawled pleasantly, tucking his hands away in his pockets with a light shrug.

"Aren't you supposed to be devoted?"

"Devoted? What, to Zero? Of course I am, that was bloody sarcasm." The blond couldn't help his snort of laughter.

Sarcasm is something he understands. Sarcasm about that kind of thing, however, escapes him. Well, it doesn't matter anyway.

"Is there really nothing else for you to do?" Saïx intones. "It is pointless, attempting to annoy someone who is not capable of being so."

"I don't know. Maybe one day I'll make a point of not attempting to annoy you, and that'll be the day when you could be. And I'll have missed my opportunity," Draco drawled back. "I'd hate for that to happen."

... Well, that doesn't make any sense at all. (Really, though, it reminds him of Axel's kind of logic, and -- )

"Suit yourself." Saïx continues to stand there, staring out at the ocean. Once he's proven himself to be a toy that doesn't do anything, the boy will tire of the sport and leave. ... Right?

Rarely.

"So what's so very interesting about this ocean you've taken to staring at so intently?" He asked after a moment, taking a position immediately beside Saix.

Saïx weighs his options. It seems no matter how little he gives Draco, he's still going to use what he's given regardless. And as Saïx would rather have nothing to do with him... The best way to drive him away is to lead him to his own tail.

"Nothing in particular," he admits.

"Rather boring of you," Draco drawled in disappointment, blissfully unaware of the plot against him. "Are you always this dull?"
