It feels almost like a jolt to the system; to feel someone else's voice in his head again. It's a feeling he associates with meeting druids, back home. The few times he's heard similar since entering the city have been...harsher. But this? This time it feels familiar. But in a way he can't describe.

So naturally, it means it's time to investigate.

Hello? Already, he's scanning the room, trying to find the source. What's wrong? Do you know where you are?

No, I don't. Where am I? Where are you?

Latios continued to hover, exploring the different corners of the ceiling for a way out. A few windows, a staircase... but so many people. So many minds to pick through for safety, to try and find somewhere that might be a better haven. He wasn't sure where the window would lead, but heading out there was almost tempting enough to ignore the mind reaching out to his.

But, no, someone had answered, someone safe. He could tell. Maybe he could figure out what had happened if he spoke with them.

What happened?

I'm near the exit of Bonnie's store. Not that he's sure how much that will help. Considering the number of confused faces he can already see, he knows that the source of the mystery voice isn't the only one with questions. He just isn't sure whether he's really the right one to answer them all. But one person. One, he can deal with.

It's this city again. I think it's brought a lot of new people here at once. Ignoring how strange it may look, Merlin raises an arm above his head, wanting to take the easiest route. Can you see my hand?

Everything Merlin had just said made little to no sense to Latios, but at least it seemed he knew what was going on. That was excellent.

No, he answered easily. He wasn't outright looking, either, but instead tried something else. He followed Merlin's voice. Drifting slowly, taking in the sight of all the strange (and confused, there was a lot of confusion here) people was certainly something. The young dragon had never seen so many all together at once.

Once he got closer to what appeared to be the exit-it was too small for someone as wide as Latios, but certainly large enough for someone smaller-he saw the hand, craning his head around to see it better. Oh, there, he both said and crooned, a quiet noise, likely hard to hear over everything else. Look up.

He looks up at the prompt, eyes widening immediately. At least that explains the familiarity, but it leaves them with a whole new problem. Namely, leaving a dragon out in the open with a group of new arrivals this big. It takes him a few attempts to do anything other than just stare up at the creature, before his expression morphs to a wide smile.

My name's Merlin, and I'm going to try and help you.

First things first though; he needs to find a way to get it out of the shop before anything happens that could require a quick getaway. The front doors may not be an option, but there has to be another possibility somewhere.

There's a big window in one of the other rooms. Do you think you can fold your wings in tight enough to get through?

Latios nodded, head bobbing along his long neck. Although he would have been about Merlin's height were he to touch down on the ground, that didn't mean the rest of him was so small. Folding his wings could prove to be a problem, as they weren't as maneuverable as, say, his arms, yet he could definitely give it a shot.

Thank you, Merlin. He turned, searching out the rest of the room. I can try. Which room has this window?

The biggest one I've seen was upstairs. Which may well be a problem in itself. But short of breaking through the walls themselves, he isn't sure what else to try.

Do you remember how you got in here? The question is there, despite the crowds around them practically serving as an answer in itself. New arrivals seem to be deposited at random, most of the time. But if everyone turned up at once, then obviously the city must have had a reason for them all being there.

Upstairs? There was a possibility. A dim one, but he could definitely try it... his wings tucked back well enough if he gave a strong enough shove, maybe he could budge his way through. The only problem was if there were people up there or not.

He chirruped to himself, and shook his head. No, I do not... Have I been captured?

He picks his way through the crowd, heading toward the stairway so he can at least make sure the route is cleared first. Whoever's upstairs is another issue entirely. But as far as he's concerned, it'd be better to take the rear this time, just in case someone decides to attack the dragon on its way there.

In a way. We're all trapped here, but it's because of the city itself. The words are a little distracted as he's left ducking around one guest who's seemingly drunk too much. Can you feel it? The city, I mean. Does it feel strange to you?
