It takes him a little longer than he'd like to actually find the right street. With just how often the paths swapped around here, he's just grateful to have made it before the sun was ready to rise again. With just what's supposedly happened to the city over the past month, he knows better than to trust something as simple as day and night taking place the right way round.

Despite Doyle's comments about supplies, Castiel couldn't help but bring a few gifts along, most of which come hidden away in a variety of bottles. It's only the glass ones in he's holding that are openly on display though. Juggling the two between his hands for a moment, he ends up hugging them to his chest as he finally knocks on the door. Now to just hope he'd actually found the right place.

Angelus wakes up an hour early, showering and chooses to put on clothing that isn't his. He settles on a white t-shirt and ill-fitting tight jeans. Once the knock sounds, he slaps on a huge grin and opens the door.

"Cas," he says, opening the door wider.

There's a grin of his own on his face as he steps inside, though it isn't an entirely natural one. It'd been a while between first leaving the apartment and actually arriving at the door, and he'd filled in the dull times with lightening the load of a few tucked away bottles. It made it that much easier to set aside the past day, in the city and back home.

"I think I may've scared one of your neighbors. Or, uh...someone who lives a couple of streets over." Peeking through open windows apparently wasn't a good way to check to see if anybody was home. "Made it though."

Now, that he could get behind.

"People need excitement in their life," he says before holding the door open wider. "And they're so easily startled." Does that sound creepy? Well, the tone hopefully contradicts the creepy. "Come in."

The barrier had gone down that day, and Lance had barely felt anything. Relief, maybe, but not as much as he should have. A bit of satisfaction. Faint worry ( ... )

Angelus wasn't interested per se. But, when he heard what seemed to be more of an inner monologue less inner he couldn't help but stalk closer. He leaned against a nearby mausoleum, not exactly feeling bad for the guy. And then he stopped talking.

"Boy," he said, meandering towards him. "You people are real keen on your senses. I miss sneaking up on unwitting victims. This is a lot less fun." And then he rolled his eyes, giving a look around. He was about to put his gameface on, stepping closer when he got a - well, not a familiar whiff per se...

"And ... what are you?"

"It's a dangerous city," Lance said simply, gaze finding and holding the dark figure that seemed to appear out of the darkness. He knew tht voice. He hadn't spoken to its owner, but he'd followed conversations on the network. "People need to stay on guard."

Which was why his hand never left the 'ball.

And then he sighed, maybe cast his eyes up a bit. Wonderful; another one who pegged there was something wrong. Why as it all the strangers? Why couldn't it be someone he actually wouldn't mind giving more details to? (Not that there were many people in the city he would have.) "I'm me. What are you?"

Already knew the answer to that, but he needed a deflection. No point in revealing that he knew anything at all.

"You're not human," he said, circling around. "Or, you don't smell like it," he added. "Care to start share time?"

The only time Cordelia's been leaving Buffy's place much has been during the day. Because until they had the Angelus situation under control? It'd hardly be safe to walk around in the dark by herself.

Except now the sun is going down and she's on the streets still. It seems she lost track of time a little today. She's trying to make her way back as quickly as possible, walking as fast as her high heels will let her. Not that she's a coward or anything, but she's not dumb either. And Angelus was definitely not something she could take care of by herself.

Though she does have a stake or two tucked away in her purse, to at least try if it came down to it. After all, she had once promised Angel she'd stake him dead if he ever went all evil on everyone again.

Boo. No. GO AWAY. inakoipond July 8 2011, 20:56:01 UTC
She's frantic. Worried. He likes that. He doubles back to end up ahead of her. One minute she's glancing behind her, the next, she knocks into his body.

"Woah, careful there, Cordelia," he said, faux-symathetically. "What, are you late, late, for a very important date?" His face changed. "You might want to tell them...you may not make it tonight."

She tries to keep a straight face on, but the way her heartbeat begins to race definitely gives away her fear as she hears his voice and realizes just who she ran into.

The very manpire she had been trying to avoid. Go figure.

She takes a few steps back, trying to create some distance between them as she begins to root around in her purse. "Really? Because I have a feeling I will."

The confidence feels faking right now than usual, but it's her best defense mechanism so she's going to be clinging to that for now.

"How ya been?" he asks, taking a step towards her. "Besides avoiding me."

[Aife was heading home, it had been a boring night. The pickings had been slim despite the that that the barrier was down and people were supposed to be out celebrating. She began to cut across the graveyard, since her new digs were on the other side of it. Sticking mostly to the paths, thanks to her being in heels which didn't take too well to lawn, she strode with the confidence of someone who wasn't afraid of things that went bump in the night.]

ooc: Unlike Lance, Aife is a strong 300 year old Succubus. She'll be oozing sex and demonic/Fae power like a 1000 watt bulb.]

[ He felt her a few graves away. He was sitting ontop of a nearby mausoleum, dangling his feet. He began to whistle "Black Magic Woman". ]

[She paused, seeking out the source of the song, then finally saw him, perched up on the mausoleum roof. A little showy. It was amusing, though, so she ventured closer.]

Don't you know it's not safe to be out alone in this city.

Don't you know I'm one of the reasons it's not safe?
