Claire came as soon as she reasonably good, which was not as soon as she'd have liked. After reading Wesley's post on the network, she was immediately ready to leave, but she had to arrange for someone equally qualified to be minding the clinic in her place, not the easiest task on short notice. A doctor came from the hospital, and she reappropriated his taxi to take her right back, thankful, for some reason, that Delta is still there when she opens the door to his room. Convening with his doctors about his condition since awaking will come after she's seen his open, alert eyes for herself.

Delta's head is back, his eyes half-lidded, gazing out the window. The blinds are down, but not all the way closed, and his eyes track the outlines of clouds barely visible outside.

"Delta," she intones softly. She doesn't wish to disturb him, or burden him with her presence if he would rather be alone. As long as she has confirmation that he's him, and that he's alert, any of her own feelings she can shelve for his comfort. "How do you feel?"

Wes stands as unobtrusively to the side as he can, pondering whether he should leave the room completely. But there's no reason to, at least not one which has a purely professional context.

It's the first time he's been in the same room with Claire since...

He looks anywhere but at her after an initial nod of acknowledgment. She's here for Delta, anyway. That's what matters.

"Terrible," says Peter, quietly and sourly. "I strongly suggest that someone give me enough morphine to knock out an elephant. Because I think there's one dancing on my brain."

That may be so, but he's responsive and he sounds clear-headed, though she's not certain which imprint she's speaking to at the moment.

"I'll be speaking with your doctor soon."

She should have first, really. Admitting that she hasn't isn't a proud moment.

"I've already informed them he's in pain. But they're wanting to run some more tests." Wes offers, his tone brisk and neutral.

"Kick them out," says Peter, "you're my doctor." There's possessiveness there, and disdain. Who gives a shit about the city's medical professionals, anyway.

She shares it, and if it shows, it's in the annoyed hardening of her brow. He's already informed them, and Claire didn't arrive in too short of order after his network post. No one had seen fit to adjust his dosage in that time?

"The tests can wait." Delta needed to breathe for a moment, achieve stability. If they'd at least gotten around to testing his verbal, visual and physical responsiveness, the rest she was going to personally oversee. "Have there been any irregularities?" She glances at Wesley, addressing the question in part to him. He is a harder presence to ignore, or consign to the corner of her mind like a fixture, than Dominic, and even if his watchful eye she was never entirely at ease under. But her primary concern is her patient. Nothing changes that.

"I think he would be a better judge of what's irregular for him than I would." Wesley points out. He's well aware of his inexperience as a handler, and how much he still has to learn about Delta and his many personalities. What his base-line even is. He can't help but wonder, deep down, if somehow the handler imprinting has caused some kind of problem. "The only thing I noticed was some disorientation, or lack of focus. But that would be expected, surely, coming out of a coma?"

"I think about a quarter of my memories are gone," Peter cuts in. "Five imprints missing. Don't either of you dare give me any sympathy." He doesn't want to fall apart. And he thinks gentleness right now might do exactly that.

If he doesn't want sympathy, she won't give it to him. Claire is already sensitive to the pity of others, and how much she disdains it - but has accepted it, to a degree, as something as unavoidable as her reflection. But still, five imprints missing. That has to be having quite the awful impact. And if the original restoration of all his personalities turns out to be what had led to this coma in the first place, there is no guarantee they could return them to him. He doesn't need to be told that.

"Which five?" she asks curtly, not allowing any inflection, not even the soft tone she reserved for dolls.

Wes frowns slightly, but falls silent. If Delta doesn't want him to express any sympathy, then he'll respect his wishes. He goes back to observing, not participating.

He curls in on himself, a little.

"I don't know," he says, softly. "I can't tell. Who am I supposed to have? -- Leo is missing. Thomas. Robert." His hands cover his temples, run through his hair, distractedly. "Elijah. And -- someone else. Someone... Campbell."

Leo, Thomas, Robert, Elijah, and Campbell. No doubt Bennett will be looking into the connection between them. Claire will make sure to acquire the files first and make copies if necessary.

"We have them at the mansion, but we shouldn't attempt to restore them until we know the cause of your symptoms."
