I love this little glimpse into River's life! I keep wishing they'd show us more of this on the show (I mean, there can't be many things more awesome than intergalactic archeology with a bit of time travel mixed in!) but sadly, it doesn't really look like we'll be seeing much of that.
It's a good thing there's fanfiction as lovely as this! ;-)
