I read the summary for this fic and my first thought was YES, EXACTLY.

And then I read the fic proper and wanted to cry because it was absolutely beautiful and just so Rory. Taking that private moment to grieve, because he still needs to be strong and resolute for Amy. Oh man. I just. My heart breaks for him.

Well done, indeed. I'd love to see more fic focused on Rory...I read The Glamour Chase and couldn't put it down until I'd finished it.

I really hope a scene like this is among the DVD extras for series 6. It's badly needed. And, yes, River does have a hell of a right hook. :D
