PoG's rec alerted me to this (gen fic? character study? betacandy? Where is it?!)

You make Jack's "added sense" palpable to the reader and his voice and characterization are fantastic.

I've always wondered about the tour of Kelowna the team was on, and this is the perfect fic about it. As reader when you were describing the tour I kept wondering "she didn't make this Meridian, did she?...I hope she did, it's really cool no matter what. What is the dread? This is so cool. Oh yay, she did!!!!--er, so obviously the mysterious build up worked for me. ;-)

You know, I'm at a loss how to categorize this. It's gen, and it's a character study, and a missing moment, I guess.

Glad you enjoyed it! I just really wanted to visit Jack's feelings about his command decision to let Daniel go talk to Jonas that fateful day.

Oh, I wasn't questioning your categorization! I was relaying my mental thoughts as I was reading PoG's rec. Gen fic, character study, and fic by you were all triggers that it was something I would very likely LOVE to read.

I loved the angle you took for the missing moment.

Oh, I didn't take your comment that way. It's a fair question, and I hadn't really tried to categorize it, because I am THAT out of practice writing fics. :)

Thank you! Sorry to spring a Meridian fic on you like that - I couldn't think of any way to hint to people what they were in for without giving the whole thing away.

oh, ouch, ouch....and it so sets up Jack to be just so very pissed off, not for the next few hours, but weeks, and months...and not really okay with it until Vis Urban (and then he gets to be pissed off for a whole new set of reasons).

And I love that it's relief to let Daniel go, to stop fighting the man...beacuse with Daniel there is no backing down or away from that fight...ever.
