Amazing how just an odd sentence or two utterly changes the meeting in the Gate room! And yay for the Land of Light, although I'm not quite sure why Jack couldn't get a shower there. :)

Actually, I think half the fun of these rewrites is spotting where you've changed it and enjoying how just an odd tweak here or there can make such a diference.

Loved the Thor and Teal'c show. Especially when you gave us a peek at Teal'c's thoughts - First Prime mode, as he uses military reasoning to come up with the ambush for the Replicators. And Teal'c liking the yellow ones was priceless. Although I admit that I missed the "it was your dumb idea" line ( ... )

I think as I get into this a little more, the characterizations will start rolling in. This is a whole new writing exercise to me.

I was never sure why Jack hadn't managed to bathe on wherever-they-were in the original ep. Sam and Teal'c apparently smelled okay. ;)

I missed the dumb idea line, too. I just couldn't figure a way to get Teal'c to say it. :D

I probably will ask you to beta the next one. I just have a bad habit of proposing projects and getting bogged down by my internal editor, so last night I thought, "It's okay; it's just a start; it'll get better; post it before you lose your nerve." :D

I'm liking the changes. Would have liked more Daniel but since he was barely even in the ep, what can you do? And I am so very glad that you picked up on the fact that the team still had a working gate, even if the SGC didn't. The fact that the writers don't pick up on that stuff always drives me nuts.

Looking forward to seeing more.

This whole process/idea is kind of new to me, so I'll probably get more inventive with adding wholly new scenes in as I go along.

Yay! You've started! The welcome home was SO much better. And I love Jack threatening Daniel's knickknacks at the end. The best? Teal'c likes Asgard food! Hee!
