He's glad that they're actually taking the time to meet up and hang out like this again, back like old times, before all the worry of girls and the future, when they were an inseparable pair of mighty awesome wildcat coolness

And unbeknownst to Troy, Chad is sending a text of similar magnitude to his own S/O complete with almost-Troyella-level cuteness.

"Hey, man!" And a very manly hug is had.

Manly hugs are the way to go. And when two totes cool jocks are doing it, clearly it's trendy and hip. Whatever, Troy doesn't have any protests.

"Hey, dude. Long time no see. It's been like, what, at least an hour since I last saw you."

"Totally!" he says, jumping in the passenger's seat of Troy's old pick-up. As cool as Ryan's sexy coupe is, there's something to be said for an American classic. "So where to?"

Troy's the sort to get a little too attached to things, and he'd almost be tempted to say he'd keep his pick-up over an expensive coupe any day. Except.. if he was given one for free, he'd sekkritly wants it.

"I dunno, man. We could go grab a bite to eat, or mom will cook us up somethin back home and we can shoot some hoops, or there's always the movies or whatever else. It's been like forever since we did anything."
