Hi dear, mine is all crumpled up after washing and I have yet to iron it. :X I do see a slight 0.5" of the inner layer on one side of the dress but I think after ironing it should be fine. (:

I will say pretty tummy friendly as the tight portion is around my belly button area :) after which it's flare all the way.
