sorry for sounding like a liberal elitist, but i could really do without a (vice) president who says "nu-kee-ler" and "eye-rack."

seriously. who will move to canada with me if they win?

I have two plans for November 5:

a) be cheerfully hungover most of the day

b) be painfully hungover and looking into how to emigrate for most of the day

I've already asked for the day off.

I'm up for Canada or Belize or lots of places.

Not only did "nu-kee-ler" bother me, but so do all the so-called "folksy" sayings like "doggone" "shucks" "Joe six-pack" etc. etc.

soh ya didn't think eye'd a letcha pohst aboht da midwist witoht callin' ya ahn it didya! ;)

first, enough of this "IF they win" malarky. you, and all your friends, should make fivethirtyeight.com one of the first pages you read in the morning. those guys (i believe are either unaffiliated, or one dem/one rep) have put together a great algorithm for covering polls and running in silico simulations on the election. dem's are winning 84% of them at the time of my writing!

i played the drinking game with a room full of grad students/post-docs, and we got kinda blitzed by drinking on every mention of "nuke-ya-ler."

you know that during her RNC speech she had a teleprompter that had the word spelled out "new-clear"? that was hilarious to me, but apparently it was necessary ( ... )
