As time bears down on us and the end draws near, there is nothing left but to face the darkness and shout:

Poll Best Thing Ever: Year 5 Semifinals, Round 1

Poll Best Thing Ever: Year 5 Semifinals, Round 1 Disambiguation Poll

... for the record, that dramatic moment lasted one whole sentence before we went back to jokes about The Princess Bride, because that is how we roll.

Because I didn't know what "To Blave" meant, I went with "True Love."

Nothing beats Dry Sarcastic Wit... and anyone who says "True Love" does... clearly has no sense of humor.

It's true, I don't think I could fall truly in love with someone without dry, sarcastic wit (or at least someone who didn't get my dry, sarcastic wit).

But dry, sarcastic wit is so much better when you have a true love to get really snarky at people and movies with.

True love still gets my vote....

ditto this. my true love will have dry, sarcastic wit AND other things we have thought of as awesome (sexy smiles, etc. etc. etc.). So. Dry, sarcastic wit contains less, ergo does not get my vote.

Dry sarcastic wit wins because Elizabeth Bennet's dry sarcastic with is her main advantage and one of the reasons she found true love.

Aw man, I can't choose. I realize a big part of this is being crazy about a relatively new boyfriend (even if he is officially my longest relationship ever) who I just watched The Princess Bride with a couple of days ago. So as much as I realize that once we break-up/the honeymoon phase is over, I'll want to vote for Dry, Sarcastic Wit, I can't bring myself to do it right now.

I think I need people to sway me to one side or the other. .... Or I'll just vote for the underdog.
