In conclusion, the whole thing was an initial test of the Tissue Compression Eliminator and the cat was controlled by the Master who was checking in on the granddaughter. Also, Ian does a mighty fine Shatner impression.

Yup, that just about sums it up. XD The Master must have gotten conclusive test results on this one.

Although, technically speaking, this was before Star Trek. So maybe Ian's acting in that scene was what spurred Kirk's pauses? XD Either that, or in the course of traveling on the TARDIS, the Doctor made everyone sit down for some Star Trek Marathons during 'family time'.

But yes, I don't the the Master was at all remorseful of his reenactment of Honey, I Shrunk the Granddaughter (and (ex?)Husband That Went Off Without Me). It's a classic on Gallifrey after all.

You have to feel a bit sorry for Ian and Barbara getting caught up in this mess. Susan's probably used to it by now, but still.

Well, this serial is darker than I expected. The premise was kinda absurd, yet it was treated totally seriously. Nice, especially since the characters picked up on that.

Also, I certainly didn't expect the ecological aspect. Not exactly my cuppa, but I figure that's YMMV. I did not expect the characters to succeed in doing anything about that, but wow, they did. I oughta not underestimate Doctor Who characters. XD

I'm not entirely sure what to think about the Master-tests-his-TCE theory, but I must admit that it makes me smile. After all, it is cracky, awesome and relevant to our/my interests. It's just that the Doctor did provide an explanation... then again, maybe he's covering for the Master. So yeah... certainly fodder for fic.

We were also drinking quite a lot as the serial went on, which probably helped our Master theory work much better. The Doctor's explanation was totally him winging it and having absolutely no idea anyway. XD

I still say that regardless of how ridiculous it was, those sets would have been really cool. <3 And no, one should never underestimate Who characters. Even when they are so small that you could step on them.

Actually, I really liked that they got motion sickness when being carried. And if I had better photoshoping or art skills, I'd try to remake a poster of Honey, I Shrunk The Kids with the TARDIS crew, but sadly I'm no where near that good. XD

Yeah, I bet it helped. After all, I was totally sober, so yeah...

And yes, One does not know his TARDIS that well yet. That kinda shocked me at first, I admit that. So yeah, it could be said that if One thinks something is a TARDIS problem, then it may or may not be, and could be anything but. After all, he spent the first three serials unaware of the TARDIS' sentience.

Yep. Nothing can stop them.

WTF That wasn't what I was saying at all. Motion sickness when being carried is realistic and I had no objection to that.

Nice.

It gives a lot more credit to the line about the Doctor never reading the manual. XD

Oh, sorry. Wasn't implying you didn't. It was actually just a random thought I had in conjunction to the serial. ^_^;;; I'm kind of stream of conscious like that and don't always realize other people don't make the same jumps I do.
