Big Bang Illustration: So Far Exceeds Expression
Oh wow, could I be any later with my BB art? I apologise, very much.
Fair warning, this is a very long image, and more importantly it's pretty spoilerific. What this means is that you should go and read the fic. And then come back and check things out. (Or vice versa, fic's strength is not just in racing along trying to find out what happens next, but spoilers are spoilers yo.)
So yes. I very much advise you to go read So Far Exceeds Expression by neveralarch, and to do so at once!
I did ask if we were allowed to do comics, and was given the affirmative. Whether they were allowed to be this long is another question entirely, of course. This scene is from near the end of Chapter Four, and the cast, from left to right in the top panel, is:
Narvin - an (exasperated) agent of the CIA
Zoe - a companion of the Doctor
Jenny - a foxy lady and companion of companions
Thomas - a family fellow
Colonel Blood - alternately known as the Master (he still loves silly disguises)
the Doctor - a traveller in time and space, kidnapper of the young and interesting
Jamie - a further companion of the Doctor
Man there are so many 'wait but!' things I want to say about this. But really, it was so much fun to make, and research (and forget my research), and going into questions of style and why I chose b&w over colour and various other points is sort of irrelevant and I could rave forever. So. neveralarch thankyou for writing awesome fic that I got to play with, everyone else, please to go read said awesome fic. It is more than the sum of it's spoilers.
Oh, but one thing - there was much internal back-and-forthing regarding whether or not the Master would be wearing a wig at this point in the story, and eventually I picked 'no' and went with it. There are haphazard reasons, but essentially I plead artistic license. Also that for all errors, misrepresentations and anachronisms. ...Except where I can pretend a Time Lord did it.
Ah, and thankyou iblamebroadway for pointing out picturepush to me. I would have had even more issues than otherwise, which is saying something.
