The relationship between a podficcer and author can be totally hands off, completely collaborative or anything in between. So, I was looking at my au_bingo card, and saw that I needed something to fill my "treasure hunters" square. And of course, my first thought wasn't "pirates AU" or "Indianna Jones", but "Kid's birthday party!" Because every year from when she was 4 til she was 12 or so, there was a treasure hunt at E's birthday party (with the same hot pink plastic treasure chest, and the same goodies inside, and nearly the same clues every year ( ... )
