This site shows a clear victory for Obama, breaking it down by issue/question and voter affiliation. This site shows it as basically a statistical tie (Obama has 1 point on McCain, but there's a +/-5 point error margin).

Really? BBC America was showing their coverage of it along with all the other news channels last night, so I assumed you guys were getting coverage of it too, over there across the pond.

hmm, could be that i wasn't in when it would have been on, sadness abounds! i'm not sure how much programming gets imported from BBCA, would imagine if I ever watched news channels i'd have caught some of it.

on the subject of voting, Austrian 16/17 year olds have been given the vote. slightly mad, if you ask me.

Wow, that seems awfully young. Not that I don't know some people that age who could make a more informed decision than many adults, but I also know a LOT of them who...well, wouldn't.

I know, it struck me as truly bizzare. how big a percentage of that age group in the us or uk would even register, let alone actually vote?

Not that many, as far as I can tell--at least as far as making an actual informed decision, and not just voting for whoever their parents tell them to. Although I do also know a few people that age who could probably make a more informed decision than some adults I know, so...*shrug*
