Alright, I think that subject is sufficient enough warning ~.^ (You know, in case it was unclear before, or something XD)

Umm, hello. This is a personal LJ, which means she can do what she likes in it. The reader has to take the risk that they may see something they don't like.

Just want to say Bessy, I found your research facinating. I agree that Sam and Dean did not grow up in anything like normal cricumstnces. A friend told me about young people growing up on Kibutz's (sp?)and how even though they weren't related, they still thought of each other as sibblings, and couldn't think of the other person as potential husband/wife material because of that. The Winchester situation could be considered the opposite of that.

And apart from that, It's just plain HOT

Anyhoo, I Shall finish my early morning incoherency and shut up now.

Thanks for reposting and I hope the Wankery is few and far between.

Thanks for re-posting this along with comments that were put up about it originally. (I'm the anon you listed here actually). I'm sorry you received wank from certain people. How frustrating. I don't actually have much to add that I didn't already say. I enjoy reading Wincest and I think hearing about how it's happened in reality makes for a good discussion ( ... )

I mean, if you want to ship wincest, fine, have a party. But as a courtesy to those of us who are squicked by it but aren't trolls/assholes/bitches/etc about it, it might be nice if it were under a cut.

... because it really does squick me. A lot. *hides*

I just can't believe this caught so much flack when you posted it IN THE WINCEST COMM. I mean, if they weren't there for the fic or meta, then WHY show up and troll? I mean, I don't read Sam/Jess and so I don't belong to any comm that might be devoted to it--which means I HAVE NO IDEA what the members are posting there! And I certainly wouldn't keep such a comm on my watch list just so I can show up and flame the posters.

What's happened to respect, courtesy and acceptance when it comes to fanfic? When did controversial pairings start becoming earth shattering headline news and potential new troll playgrounds...and stop being all about the pr0n?

Also, where's the people who love the show for what it is, and yet read/love/write Wincest? I PERSONALLY don't see all that much slash or UST in the show...but OMG it's just too wonderful an idea (and plausible given all the support in your research!) to abandon when it comes to fic. After all, isn't THAT what fanfic is for? To explore the whatifs and maybesos?

Well, I think the fanwankery started because I cross-posted it in supernatural_tv with a fake link to the post in the wincest comm. So a lot of the trolls ended up in wincest from the fake link, not because they were members.

But yeah, I agree that it's sad that our fandom has come to this.
