[He's gone back to wandering the halls whenever he realizes that he's spending too much time in his room. Visiting Mean every so often to bring him and Tim something new to try, though even that has lessened in frequency. For the most part, no; Allen hasn't been leaving the room as often as he used to at all.

So it's probably been a bit obvious for Lavi that he's back to taking pills whenever he needs them; obvious in the way he holds himself sometimes, the very slight offness in his eyes when they first hit. Allen doesn't take the pills when Lavi's around, though he hasn't tried to hide it, either.

He lifts his head when the door opens though, looking away from the book he'd been half-reading. The uneasiness is easy to hear - most things are when it comes to Lavi. Allen hums and creases the page corner to find it later, and sets the book aside.]

...Of course, Lavi.

[Lavi moves to sit on the edge of Allen's side of the bed, placing a single white orchid on his nightstand. He briefly glances over to the book that he was reading, not too curious about what it was but his eyes needed something to do. His hands, too, since they were alternating between fiddling between the ring on his finger and the ends of his scarf]

When did you start taking them again?

[Probably something that Lavi gave him for homework. He wasn't that into it anyway.

He follows Lavi's hands though, eyes lingering on the ring.]

...When did you start wearing that ring?

[As far as Allen's concerned, both questions are equally pointless. Lavi would have noticed when he started taking the pills by the way the slight tremor in his hands disappeared (withdraw, even after nearly a year of being off them); Allen noticed the ring as soon as Lavi came home with it.

And yet, here they were. Asking pointless questions with obvious answers.]

[Bringing one hand up to gently touch his cheek, stroking it with his fingertips. He knew they were pointless questions. He knew that Allen noticed the ring and how it occupied his left ring finger. And he knew that Allen had started the pills sometimes shortly after Sleeper left. He knew that, but damn it all...]

Is it really that bad?
