While the boy I adore is saving lives...

OK - so, another thought on the tattoo front. I'm thinking, Japanese is a bit hackneyd - I mean, everyone's been doing chinese and japanese kanji since forever, and even though my name's in katakana - it's still pretty much of the same ilk... so, I thought about Greek:

χριστοφερ

or, alternatively, hebrew...

כרסטופר

Thoughts?

when I read the greek, i sounded out.. "KREEEESTOHFEHR". ;-)

What about tattooing something else instead of your name, like the Kanji for strength...or a meaningful line from a poem...or a symbol?

I like the idea - but what do I get? I was kind of tempted by the cartouch for 'Ma'at' the Egyptian goddess of justice - but, I don't know if there's any theme that's more central to me than, well... me :)

She's a bit 'big' - I want something simple and relatively small :)

you could do a kabbalistic sigil of course drawn on the kamea of jupitier which rules over laws asnd the courtroom as well as kings and business

As far as Ma'at the goddess of truth and whose feather is used to counterbalance the scales of judgement You could instead of her Cartouche simply have a golden feather tattoed on you as well. but becareful on that for Ma'at does not tolerate any untruth if you dedicate yourself to her.

Also take a look at the tibetian language or korean. both are quite pretty and seldom used in tattoos (unless you are korean or tibetian in which case i am sure they are common)

Of course there are also several more fun languages to look at for sheer fun artistry One would be Klingon which i could see you doing and the other is Tengwar the language of tolkiens elves. go for the italic script version as it is what was used on the ring and is much prettier!

of course all these are just suggestions it is your body so you ultimatly have to decide

I adore Ma'at - I love the idea of the feather.
I have a 3,000 year old tablet depicting her in my office, it was a present from my Grandmother when I graduated. I thought having the typical statue of 'blind justice' was a bit overdone - so I went Egyptian :)
I like Tibetan, but I'm not really into it enough to want it on my body, same with Korean. I'll come up with something I'm sure :)

Yes... I'm going to get a temporary one first - then see how I feel with it - at least that way I won't be branded. :)
