Although I've written it in the notes on the fic - I have to thank
nicci_mac for the alpha read, Cimmie and
missapocalyptic for invaluable betas. I'll stick to 5000 words in future guys!
Edited for
nicci_mac's amazing cover and related artwork. She rocks!
And Finding the Words.

First, I'm a huge h/c junkie and this hit a lot of those buttons. At first I was unsure about reading it because serious brain injury stories are tricky. I'm always afraid the author will take it too far, make it too permanent and the character will be way out of character. That wasn't the case here. Ray was still Ray and despite his problems, that came through.
Second, I like the way you managed to get both povs in there so we could get a full picture, see both men and their frustrations.
It was just a really wonderful story. Well done.
I'd like to post a rec/link in my LJ if that's okay.

The frustration and Ray's changes come through, but never once did it seem overkill, and the way it ended was so lovely.
Wonderful!

I liked this, and that is kudos to you, because to tell the truth, hurt/comfort tends to irk me beyond reason (it's a thing I can blame on the stargate fandom *g*) -- This, however, was good in a long, plotty way, and I love that you gave us an end to the Victoria thing as well. A well-rounded story.
