I'm going to do it anyway! This snippet is culled from a WIP I've had knocking around, modified so it makes some sense. It's an AU based around the boys being musicians

I didn't mean to bait! Honest, guv! I just didn't have anything else for this prompt! Having said that, just posting this has prodded my poor brain into RockGod mode again and there is more bubbling away. So there is hope that it will cease to be WIP and fly free one day! *grins* *puts fingers in ears*
So, ah, this was part of a large project? By which I mean, it would be deeply crushing if we don't get to read the rest. And by that I mean, is it ready to be put out now?!?!
oh dear, sorry, this was so interesting. I love the band set up. and the guitar playing to keep each other company was darling. Plus there's a grain of truth hidden in it as well, lead singers are always the assholes of the band. strangly, i'm looking forward to seeinig the backstory between him and Ray.
It is part of a bigger story, yes, but most of it is still in my brain thing, so no, not even slightly ready. But this has given me a kick in the arse to get more of it down.
Thank you for your kind comments. I hope I can come up with the goods one day.
I love this SO MUCH! Fraser coming to Ray's defense! Ray being able to play everything from Nina Simone to Nirvana! Songwriter!Ray! It's all brilliant! *twirls you*
You could write this for ds_shakespeare, hint, hint? *examines prompts* Um, "If music be the food of love, play on", or "Some rise by sin, and some by virtue fall", or "I am a man more sinned against than sinning"?
Oh, I do so want to take part in your delicious Shakespeare fest! I do! But I am WIPED from this ds_aprilfools thing. And I have a paper due in June *looks mildly alarmed* But if I can prod my mojo into action after all that, then I will be there, my friend.
Essay is on the use and abuse of environmental evidence when used to recreate human activity estimates in the Mesolithic/neolithic transition on the South Downs.
Mollusc anyone? And my palynological graphs look like the migraine I'm getting just thinking about the damn thing!
Did a VERY cool study day on Folklore and Archaeology at Birkbeck last weekend though. Interesting to see two such opposing viewpoints try and be civil to each other over coffee!!!! Heee!
