I'm halfway into my second week of classes, and things have been going much better since that frenzied post the night before they started. I think I was having a lot of apprehension that night, but I've been telling myself that I can do this, I can get things together, and so far I've been doing just that. 22 credits... @_@ how much is each class worth? At UNC a normal class is 3 credits and 15 hours is considered the normal weight load. I have 14 this semester.

I'm taking a child development course too! Right now we're learning in broad terms about the different perspectives (psychoanalytical, cognitive, behavioral, family systems, & ecological) and about risk and resilience. We have a test on Thursday, joy! ;)

1. Clearly I should have sent you my awesome coat to wear through the winter. I've told you about my awesome coat, right? Its an old fashioned style warm black wool coat to just passed the knees, deep pockets, and a sash. All I'm missing is an equally awesome black wool hat to match. I was so thrilled I needed it the night we saw Pan's Labryinth. I LOVED IT. You should go see it.

2. I wore a nicer shirt with no sleeves and a light sweater today.

3. You have a standing invitation to come visit.

4. I love making lists.

5. I'm still working on it, but feel free to write in the meanwhile.

the weather here alternates between 50 degrees and sunny to -10 degrees and pouring down snow. Unfortunately, I am not kidding, nor exaggerating. it is particularly frustrating when it all happens during a 48 hour period and you go outside in just a t-shirt.
