In season five I began to notice how stressed he was beginning to look

I'd say that they started writing Sheppard in this 'darker' way. He wasn't this flirting, smirking guy from earlier seasons. And Joe even said that he liked how John evolved.

Still travelling was very taxing and of course the tension on the set must have been growing as well...

Agree.......Joe said later he wished they had done more like VEGAS early on.
I totally agree and felt that way when I first saw Conversion and a few more that were much better than the normal shows which sometimes frankly bored me.
I did NOT like having it taken over by SG1
e.g. bringing Carter on board.
Joe said guest was fine but nothing more.
I was thinking same thing.
I felt about her like Ronon did.
She is NOT command material. She is a fine
specialist but not command.

Don't even get me started on Carter.... Elizabeth was great, I LOVED Woolsey but Carter.... it was equally stupid decision as replacing Beckett with Keller... I never was a huge fan of Carson but he was waaaay better then Keller....

Ahm ... yes ... this silly CGI in "Remnants". Good quotes you have taken, especially the one from "Prodigal", you know the one with the jumpers in the submarine-bay. This is one of my personal favorites, could not stop laughing when I've seen the episode the first time LOL.

Would you believe that I've quite come to like Brain Storm? Hm.... When you cut out all the McKeller crap - it's really a good episode. Rodney as always was great!

I will believe you about Brainstorm ;). I have to say, beside McKeller I liked this episode too. The most worst episode was for me "Identity". That was one Keller-epi to much for me. To be true, I dislike JS acting in that but I do not think she is a bad actress. I think she was put into a character that does not really suit to her. Back in season 2 she did a great job as Elia.
