My first beauty box!
A while ago, I tweeted that I'm interested in getting/subscribing to a beauty box. If you're not familiar with the concept of beauty boxes, you basically subscribe to it and they send you different beauty products every month. You don't know what you're getting and that's what's exciting about it. Sometimes you get full sized items and sometimes they're sample sized ones. We have a few local beauty boxes available but none of them enticed me so I decided to subscribe to one from the US. Now there are a lot of beauty boxes to choose from but I went for the cheapest one (only $10 per month) but still has a lot of good reviews -- the Ipsy beauty bag (formerly MyGlam).
This beauty box (or bag in this case) is co-founded by one of my favorite Youtube gurus, Michelle Phan. When you subscribe, you get a makeup bag and inside it are 4-5 different beauty products. My first beauty bag was already delivered to Johnny Air in NY and I just have to wait for it to arrive in Megamall so I can claim it. The shipping fee is probably going to be much more expensive than the actual box but I wanted to try it out and see if it's worth the money.
I checked the Ipsy site and here's what's in my bag this month:
I got the Cailyn Cosmetics Tinted Lip Balm, Elizabeth Mott It's so Big volumizing mascara, NYX single eyeshadow, Starlooks Obsidian Kohl Eye Pencil and Victoria Jackson Taupe Brow Pencil.
I cannot wait to get my hands on these products! I'm going to review all of them when they arrive here in Manila. Hopefully I'll get before the October one gets shipped. Haha! If you are interested in joining Ipsy too, here's my referral link: Ipsy points for me!
