As for fandom_wank, it really doesn't have anything to do with it specifically except maybe that culture of fandom vultures who seek out the worst of the worst to mock, and a fandom that has humans make out with their cars is certainly ripe for that.

Note: mindblowingly awesome story was not about humans doing it with their cars. Not that has any more glorious a premise.

Also I got me some Doctor Who so I may watch it soon. After fighter jets doing it ceases to be so amazing and fun. It could be a while.
