September 2007, semirose and I started talking about Colby Granger and Evan Lorne being secret long-distance boyfriends (I would love to say we talked about it with more serious words than that, but no). The pairing has gained a lot of popularity since then, to my surprise and extreme delight

Hey, you don't really know me, but I've read all your Colby/Lorne fic (and bluflamingo's) and become fond of the pairing that way. It's weird, because while I like Lorne, I don't fangirl him or spend much time thinking of his backstory--but when you pair him with Colby, I'm suddenly very interested!

And Colby I firmly believe belongs to David, but I still enjoy your fic and would totally support a Colby/Lorne comm. I doubt I will write this pairing, but I'll read and leave feedback and participate if there's meta. I say go for it!

I love your Colby/Lorne stuff... but honestly, yours is the only ones I know about. If a comm would do nothing more than pull most of what's out there together, it would be a success in my mind.

my names suggestion in the poll are a bit on the sarcastic side. How about Fedcake and Flyboy?
How about mixing the two fandoms further - I so see McKay explaining something to the feds and Colby saying "Which is like?" and getting such scorn from McKay!
