Summary: Johnny is trying to win him a big stuffed teddy bear from the basketball hoops.

Johnny is trying to win him a big stuffed teddy bear from the basketball hoops. Walt might have laughed a bit more about it if he wasn't so certain they're wasting valuable time. "We're supposed to be undercover, not playing games," Walt whispers to Johnny, grinning brightly at the man behind the counter anyway.

Johnny laughs softly, lining up for the last shot. Judging by the smug look on his face, he probably already knows it's going to be another perfect throw. "We're blending in, Walt." Johnny says, and takes entirely too much satisfaction out of handing him a giant panda with a heart shaped pillow. "You don't look like a cop now."

"Yeah, and I can't draw my weapon either," Walt mutters, trying to figure out a way to carry the panda, keep their cover and still be able to reach for his weapon. Johnny solves it by linking his arm with Walt's and laughing silently at him, looking to everyone else like he's merely smiling at his boyfriend.

"With any luck, you won't need it." Johnny tugs at Walt's arm as he takes a left. "But what we do need is cotton candy, don't you agree?"

"Do you see an extra arm attached to my body, Johnny?" Walt demands, even though cotton candy does sound pretty good.

Johnny suddenly turns his head so that his lips are right next to Walt's ear. "Relax. He took notice of us when I was winning you the panda. He'll make a move just after we've gotten the cotton candy."

"Yeah, that's real relaxing." Walt doesn't turn to look, studies a young couple making eyes at each other instead. "See his face?"

"No, it's too dark." Johnny whispers, breath brushing over Walt's neck. "He keeps staying in the shadows. He'll come from your left."

At least that's something, knowing where the guy is coming from.

Johnny's already taken the panda out of Walt's hands when the guy strikes, coming from Walt's left like Johnny said he would.

Except what Johnny didn't mention was that the only thing the guy does to Walt is shove him backwards before Walt can make a move, heading straight for Johnny while Walt's taken off guard.

"Freeze," Walt says, his gun trained on the guy as he gets back on his feet. The guy looks alarmingly average, has the kind of face you don't notice in a crowd. Walt thinks he wouldn't really be surprised if it turns out he's passed the guy by before.

But it's clear he wasn't expecting either of them to be armed, and in the split second of surprise he stays inactive, Johnny has driven his elbow into the man's stomach and gotten free. Walt steps in easily, gun still trained as he hands Johnny the handcuffs. "You're under arrest for the murder of Peter Banville, Dan Sinclair, Philip O'Neill, Colin Roderin, Jeff Hoff and Arthur Roth. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to have an attorney present during questioning. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you. Do you understand these rights?"

The arrest seems almost too easy, except they've spent two weeks tracking this guy down and frankly, they deserve a break.

"Do you understand these rights?" Walt repeats, walking the guy along. Johnny follows silently behind them, and two hours later, when they learn the guy is named Kevin Gorger and is wanted for assault with a deadly weapon on gay men in two different states, Walt still can't help but smile when he walks into his office to find the panda sitting in his chair.
