Summary: The Doctor and Rose find themseleves stranded in London 1888, on the night of the of one of the Jack The Ripper Murders, Rose soon befriends "Ginger" and unbeknown to herself and the Doctor Ginger is the next victim for Jack The Ripper. However as events begin to unfold, will Rose find herself in even more danger when Jack The Ripper comes calling, and has no way out?

Everyone around them cheered as the final contestant crossed the line of the Olympic Track, and Rose was no exception. She’d always thought that she would enjoy the Olympics if she were to ever go to one, and knowing the Doctor was certainly rather handy sometimes. Especially when he could take you to the London 2012 Olympics before it’d even reached your time, and Rose certainly wasn’t complaining.

The Doctor sat down next to her, handing her the Ice Cream he’d promised her twenty minutes previously.

“Thanks,” Rose grinned and ate a little bit of it before looking at the Doctor mock seriously, “Go on then, who wins?”

“Who wins?” The Doctor replied looking at her and laughed slightly, “What the Olympics?”

“No! The next Grand National, what do you think Doctor?” Rose said sarcastically.

“Oh now Miss Tyler,” the Doctor said going closer to her ear. Rose grinned, giggling with excitement, he wasn’t actually going to tell her was he? Surely not, but then why was he leaning so close to her ear that he could feel his breath on her cheek. He’d been very secretive about the Olympics for the last few days, so Rose should have known when the Doctor whispered, “Spoilers…” in her ear.

Rose couldn’t help but laugh and grinned over at him, watching as he licked the Banana Ice Cream he’d gotten for himself. Rose couldn’t help but smile about it, even though the Doctor saying “Something is coming” had completely creeped her out to no ends. She did feel rather content in travelling with him at the moment.

She just hoped that those travels carried on for good.

Rose giggling softly to herself as she came into the room, towel over her drying hair, The Doctors feet was poking out from underneath the consoles and from what could be heard, there was a lot of rustling going on under there. It wasn’t unusual to find the Doctor doing something like this, in fact it was hardly something Rose wasn’t used to by now. They’d been travelling for well over a year now; and she’d grown used to this new Doctors traits even if it hadn’t been that long since his regeneration.

“So then,” Rose said poking her head through the gap and staring at the Doctor. She couldn’t help but laugh at his hair flying all over the place, sonic screwdriver between his teeth and what looked to be some kind of advanced tech spanner.

“What you doing?”

“The circuits went,” The Doctor said, with the sonic still in his mouth so it came out more like “thecurcuitswent…”

“The what went?” Rose sad looking at him, “Sorry, but unless the TARDIS translates Doctor with a sonic between their teeth language I don’t think I’m gonna be able to understand you.” Rose giggled looking at him.

The Doctor rolled his eyes, Rose always found it funny when he was trying to concentrate on things. Always made her laugh when he put on his moody “leave me alone I’m trying to concentrate look.”

“Rose! The circuits need repairing, we’ll wind up in goodness knows where if I don’t!” The Doctor said, furrowing his brow and putting the sonic to a red piece of wire.

“You know,” Rose said looking at him picking up one of the wires herself, “If I knew that the TARDIS was just like the inside of my telly, I’d have fixed it myself years ago.”

“OI! This is top notch stuff I’ll have you know!” The Doctor exclaimed, “Not something from the inside of a crummy television. And you weren’t here years ago.” The Doctor chuckled and Rose poked him mock glaring at him gently before tilting her head to the side and smiling sweetly. She always knew that when she wanted something, this particular smile would get him.

“Oh no,” The Doctor said blinking at her, “Oh no you don’t! Whatever it is you want, you’re not having it!”

“I haven’t even said anything!” Rose exclaimed looking at him and giggly softly as she pulled him out from under the console gently. “How do you know I want something?”

“When do you not want something?” The Doctor replied looking at her.

Rose giggled leaning against the consoles looking at him, unaware she‘d just knocked a button. “Wellll…” Rose started looking at him, “I never really did enjoy my History Classes in school, although that wasn’t because I didn’t like History. I mean I wouldn’t be travelling with a geek like you…”

“Cheeky!”

“So are you Doctor!” Rose giggled pouting again.

“Alright cut to the chase Rose,” The Doctor said looking at her, “What do you want?”

“I want to go to a Victorian Dance!!!”

“Rose!” The Doctor said rolling his eyes, “I’ve already have a long winded discussion about this with you, all you find is a load of blokes staring at you and your corset. And you will most likely not enjoy yourself what so ever.”

“Thought you didn’t mind a party every once in a while?”

“After being dragged to a Curry Night with your mother, I think I’ve had my fair share of parties thank you very much Rose Tyler!” The Doctor said looking at her.

“You only hated it because she got that waitress and you flirting…”

“I was not flirting!” The Doctor exclaimed, “You were.”

“Not as much as the waitress was with you.” Rose giggled looking at him and laughed more as the Doctor turned his back to her, starting the consoles up. She could only grin watching as the time rotor went up and down, it wasn’t something that was generally Rose would have associated with Time Travel. She always thought that it’d be on some kind of massive space ship that looked more like a saucer than a Police box.

“Where are we going?!” Rose asked looking at The Doctor, who appeared to be concentrating quite hard on the monitors.

“Well I was hoping that we’d be able to go to…”
The Doctor cut off, a loud banging noise reverberated around the console room, making Rose put her hands over her ears.

“What’s that?!”

“Ahhhh….” The Doctor said grinning sheepishly at her, “Well, I think you’ll find that some of the wires under the console has….”

The TARDIS came to a stop with a bang, sending Rose to the floor. Which well lets face it, wasn’t that unusual now was it? Although the lights turning on and off wasn’t something that Rose had really come across before and if she was honest, she didn’t overly know why they were suddenly flickering on and off like that.

“Ahhh….” The Doctor said again looking up at the lights, pointing the sonic at them and Rose jumped out the way as part of the consoles blew up.

“I thought you said the TARDIS has top notch equipment!!” Rose said looking at him.

“It does!” The Doctor exclaimed, “Just needs a bit of a reboot that’s all! Should only take about twelve hours for the whole thing to be working again…” The Doctor said and laughed slightly as he looked at her, “System must have gone down a little bit!”

“And since when did top notch systems begin to go down?”

“Well… that depends on whether you class Jonathan Baggins universal home ware system as Top Notch, if you do, then I suppose everything started to go out around four Billion and sixteen, if you don’t then well I’d say it was more around four billion and eighty because Freya Thomp…” the Doctor cut off blinking slightly as he looked at Rose, who’d put her hand over his mouth in an attempt to stop him from blathering too much again.

“I was meaning it sarcastically.” Rose giggled and before the Doctor could do anything to change the situation, Rose had ran to the doorway and was putting her coat on.

“Rose! Don’t open that door! We could be anywhere! And I mean anywhere, we could be in the middle of space and well the with the systems down, there’s no gravity pockets outside this ship. Which means that if you open that door, I’ll be burnt alive by your Mother when she finds out I let you suffocate to death!”

“Doctor?” Rose said looking back at him and smiling softly.

“Yeah?”

“It’s earth… we’re not in the middle of space. We’re on Earth!”

“What?” The Doctor asked sprinting forward over the floorboards and poking his head out of the TARDIS door. “Ha! So we are! Come on!”

“What hang on!” Rose exclaimed managing to get her arm out his the clutches of his hand, “I think you’ll find Doctor, that we’re not exactly in London from my time.”

“How do you…” The Doctor trailed off seeing a large black Horse and Carriage whizzing past them along the cobbled street.

“Ohhh…” The Doctor said looking at Rose and laughing softly, “I think you might be right there. Come on! Lets go explore…” the Doctor said grabbing Roses hand and running off down the street, a new adventure awaiting them, but little did they know that it was just this kind of adventure that was going to turn their worlds upside down.
