Thanks! Have done poll and posted links on my journal. Moving to Dreamwidth as my main home as soon as I have two minutes i.e. next week. And my f'list is full of similar comments. Seems we can weather storms over porn, fanifc, icons etc but not style changes! *g*

I think if it was just style it would not be an issue - the problem is functionality. It plain doesn't work.

Out of curiosity, exactly how is LJ deciding which journals/comms are affected by this new change? I ask because you're actually the only one on my flist whom has even mentioned it and their dis-satisfaction with it, so I went looking and of all the comms I regularly view and all the friends who's journals I regularly comment on, maybe a third of the comms and none of the people appeared to be affected.

Anyone not using an s2 theme is affected and anyone viewing the default comments page (I believe a lot of people with viewing difficulties use this page because of it's clear layout). Many comms use the default comment page because it used to be easy and clear. All basic account comms have to use it I believe.

For example, my comm beren_fic_only.

Ahh, alright, that makes sense to me now. All of the comment pages that still looked normal were themed ones. Well, it hasn't affected my functionality to the point that I'm going to leave LJ entirely, but I have set my journal up to import in the Dreamwidth queue. I'd only been planning to mirror stuff there going forward, but I think it might be a good idea under the circumstances to have it fully backed up after all. >_

The only problem with DW so far is they'll only show a certain number of days/posts and I can't find a way to change that. *annoyed*

I'm not sure what you mean - where abouts?

You mean on the reading page? It shows the last 1000 entries over the last two weeks there, but back further than that you can see on the individual journals. I've never had a problem with that cut-off, but then again I'm generally on it at least once a week.

I know, the problem is if we go on vacation or don't visit the site as often we can't scroll back through like we can on LJ/IJ, etc... And what if I wanted to view a page I know was on my list but forgot whom posted?
