Jrock Intro Post of Doom

Okay, so I don't know a huge amount about jrock, but I do know what I like and a Tokio Hotel friend asked for a brief intro, so here goes.

As far as I think about it, jrock is basically two camps: Visual Kei and the rest :). Visual Kei is very, very pretty; lots of boys in great costumes and many of them actually dressed as girls.

Wow. Thank you!! This really helps because I was so lost with all the jrock/visual kei stuff. I tried to google it, but there's so much, and many of the artists have been around for so long!

I love Gackt and Hyde. Their look is so awesome. Would love to see that movie. Will check it out.

There really is a lot of Visual Kei and jrock stuff out there isn't there - and a hell of a lot of it is in Japanese, which makes it that much more challenging :).

I' m kind of drnk at the moment so I will try to type this without any mistakes. <~~ wow, i had to go back and fix tht up a whole lot. lol.

malice miazr are awesome. <3 i love them!! :D gackt and mana = love, love,m love. <333 :) Hyde is pretty but ive always liked gackt a little more. <333 And L'arc are coo lcoz they did the into song for FMA, which i love to piece.s <333 i never really go tinto L'arc so mcuh but a friend of mine a while back was a huge fan and she used to go on about ken all of the time. i dont know the other band memebrrs names, though. :(

There is much more a similairity betwnee hyde & bill than there is one between miyavi and bill. i think miyavi is much more "out there" with his tatste of clothes. :) bill's a bit more conservative, though he's still out there. <3 yeah i agree with what you said about bill & hyde. :D

I don't have many Malice Mizer songs - I kind of missed them as a thing, but I do trawl Youtube for them every now and then.

I've always liked Hyde more than Gackt, although I love them both to pieces. Hyde just pushed all my buttons :). Ken is very cool - his guitar playing is simply amazing and I love the way Tetsu plays the bass. Yuki is a great drummer too, but I still think Hyde is the prettiest :).

I was reminded about the similarity of Hyde (Hello era) and Bill because someone did an icon montage and I noticed that they had a Hyde icon in there as well :).

I must admit I'm more into Gazette because of the fanfic than the music, but I do download their singles from time to time and their stuff is on my list to buy when I have the cash.

Ah, but DBSK are kpop, not jrock and that would be a whole different post :). (I just looked them up ::g::).

OOH!! if you ever want any malice mizer songs then i can send you some. i have a bunch of their labums but im not sure if theyre 100% complete. (i will have to chekc.) i could upload them for yo if you like. :) also, im not sure which ones have gackt doing lead vocals on them and which ones dont because i never really looked into ir properly.

I have to admit i do have a lot more hyde n my compouter than I do of gackt. :( that's kind ofa shame but i do like hyde's music. (plus it was more accisible to me coz someone on my flist uploaded it :D)

Gazette did that song "Cassis", right? :) that's the one my friend showed me because iy was her favourite. i'm rpetty sure it's the only one ive listened to, so maybe i'm prejudging them before giving them a fair shot, but from what i had heard they weren't my cup of tea.

I have never read any j-pop/rock fanfic before. :O i'm going to attempt to read some DBSK fanfic soon, as samara recommended some to me. :D

Malice Mizer songs would be so cool thanks. I've never managed to find any downloads.

My fav Gackt album is Diabolos (I don't think there's one song I don't like), my fav Hyde album is Faith (I like the halfway point between 666 and Roentgen) and my fav Laruku album is Awake (such powerful songs).

Yes Gazette did Cassis - I like Chigire and Juuyon Sai No Knife. I only have four of their song on my work PC :).

There are some great jrock stories and there are some terrible jrock stories - so good luck with the reading :).
