There are many perks and the only downside I can think of is that in school we were never picked for anything that only required one because everyone thought of us as a pair :).

When we started senior school there was one girl, who later became a good friend, that admitted that for a while she thought there was only one of us that was really good at getting from place to place very fast ::g::.
